Hi, I’m Andrew and I live in Northern Ireland where I work as a tea blender.
I have had the privilege of working for myself for the last three years, specialising in masala chai sales through my company Chala Chai. However, I also have a huge passion for tea as a whole and wanted to create a little space where I could share that knowledge with others who are learning and growing in their education of tea.

About Free The Tea
FREE THE TEA is a space to learn, explore and discover the world of tea. It can be pretty scary and overwhelming when you start to learn about tea.
“Which tea type should I learn about first? How do I know what tea I should try? What if I don’t like the flavour of the tea or just brew it wrong? How can you brew tea wrong???”
These are all questions I had as well when I started to learn about this incredible drink. So, welcome to ‘Free the Tea’, where you can learn with me. There is so much more to tea than tea bags bought from the store. ‘Free the Tea’ is about freeing ourselves from the restrictions low-quality tea places on our experience of tea.
